How does it work?
Vettanna provides US based test management to coordinate with you. This person can be located on-site at your company or off site. The test manager will staff the team with qualified testers. Since one of the challenges with workers from different countries is communication and understanding the cultural differences, Vettanna provides a cultural liaison that has lived and worked in both countries. The cultural liaison is available, as needed, to troubleshoot any miscommunications or misperceptions that may arise.

The profile of the testers that we use from developing countries is usually more qualified than US based testers. The offshore testers typically have a University programming degree and have done coding in the language that you use. They have at least 2 years experience in software development and testing is one component of their high tech career path. In addition, they have received (or are receiving) the extensive Vettanna training for software testers. After they receive the training they must take the Vettanna Testing Certification exam in a controlled environment. The exam consists of paragraph style questions and the tester is given an Internet application to test and document bug reports. If a tester does not pass this exam, they are removed from Vettanna testing projects.
